“Teacher, five feet nine, good! appearance, seeks love match with | pretty young girl” is another. | As bait, the applicants offer everything from automobiles, boats and dairy farms to a| “blameless past.” |

Big Business

Love has become a big business | in Germany, in the East as well! as in the West, It isn't exactly for sale but a small investment can| put you well on the road to finding a “suitable comrade for life” or just someone interested in “mutual recreation.” | Countless marriage bureaus and newspaper departments have| sprung up to capitalize on mari-| tal dislocations caused by the war and the excess of women over men.
