BLOOMINGTON, June 18—A 75-year-old children’s doctor who bégan a new career at the “retirement” age of 65 will receive an honorary degree at Indiana University’s commencement tomorrow.

Ten years ago Dr. Oscar Noel Torian retired as head of the Pediatrics Department of the Indiana University Medical School. He had practiced in Indianapolis.

The doctor moved to Sewanee, Tenn., where he had graduated from the University of the South in 1896 and had married Sarah Hodgson, daughter of the vice! chancellor. | Soon after he returned there following his “retirement,” Dr. Torian began treating needy children.
