Some time when you want some quiet play, there is nothing that is more fun than making puppets. There are so many things that

you can make puppets from. One of the most simple for you begin-

ning puppeteers is to use a wooden spoon as your starting point. If mother does not have a spare old one, it will be worth the small

cost to buy one.

The back of the spoon cup end makes an ideal face. Decide what character you want and ink in the features or paint them on. Make large eyes, glue on a cork or button nose, Make and shape a tiny hat to glue on top of the head, The most simple type of costume is take a handkerchief, any color you choose, and fasten it around the handle with a rubber

band turned several times over the end of the spoon. You can hold your puppet by slipping your hand under the costume and gripping

the handle, You can make several changes of costume for “Woody.” ~MONDAY~—A Tin Can Indian Bracelet. .
