Change of Venue Plea in School Case Dealt Blow
The Indiana Supreme Court ruled they cannot demand a change of courts in the controversial $58 million school fund issue.
In a ruling, handed down by Justice Floyd Draper, Gary, the court sald: “This court cannot properly mandate a change of venue from the county on an insufficient ap-
plication.”
In effect, the court's action is a blow to Wilbur Young, Repubs. lican state superintendent of public instruction, who sought a change from Judge John Niblack’s Superior Court in Indianapolis. Judge Niblack originally denied Mr. Young a change to another county in the test case brought by the Gary School Board on behalf of all city school systems. NEW YORK, June 13 (UP) The first regular’ color television will begin Monday, June 265, starring Arthur Godfrey with his hair showing red, Columbia |Broadcasting System said today. "CBS said it will telecast in color about 7 to 10 hours a week at first and gradually increase colorcasts to 20 hours a week by fall. Only about 1000 persons in the metropolitan area with homemade color sets will be able to see the first program.

Noble Shaw, Crawfordsville, was full-time director today of Indiana's “Little Hoover” Commission which will study the state’s governmental setup and recommend ways to streamline {ts functions,
Mr. Shaw, a Republican, was selected by a subcommittee which interviewed 11 applicants. The appointment was recommended to the commission yesterday at its second meeting.
The commission chairman, Rep. Paul Moellering, (R. Ft. TOKYQ, June 18 (UP) — The U. 8. 2d Division traded 12 miles of territory for 48,000 Chinese, its commander said today. Maj. Gen. Clark L. Ruffner said the division killed or wounded 4000 Chinese for every one of the 12 miles it yielded during the second Communist spring offensive May 16 through 21.
