From Probation Officer A 14-year-old boy who was committed to the Boys School this week escaped the custody of Probation Officer Jack Rietzke at the Juvenile Center this morning. The boy was being transferred from the center to the school when he wrestled himself from the probation officer's grasp and fled to the street. The boy's record shows that he has been picked up by Juvenile Ald authorities at least eight times. He was committed to the Boys. School by Juvenile Court Referee Mercer Mance until he was 21.
