(CDN)—Canada is organizing an infantry brigade group of about 6500 men under the command of Brig. Geoffrey Walsh for its contribution to Gen. Eisenhower's European Army. More than 5000 men have signed on in three weeks and staff officers have quit worrying lest this Dominion’s voluntary recruiting system fail to be suffi- ® ciently productive so soon after the recruiting for Korea.

It took the Canadian army! nine months to raise the Korean brigade group and get it to the battle area. The European for-! mation will probably move overseas in six.

It is planned to give battalion and brigade training here and to move the European brigade abroad as soon as organization and training are completed.
