Wedding Set

Vows uniting Miss Mary Ellen Bertrand and James H. Ebbinghaus will be read June 24 in Sweeney Chapel at Butler University. The Rev. Lewis H. MacAdow of the University Park Christian Church will officiate. The couple's parents are Mr. and Mrs. George A. Bertrand, 1011 W. 34th St., and Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Ebbinghaus, Lebanon. ‘ The bride-to-be, a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, attended Butler University. T h e prospective bridegroom will be graduated this June from Purdue University. Mrs. Jim N. Griffin will serve as matron of honor. The bridesmaids will be Mrs. Dahn Cadby, Miss Patricia Campbell and Miss Betty Ann Baker. Nancy Carol Bertrand and Karen Sue Campbell will be flowergirts. Richard Winner of Bourbon will attend the prospective bridegroom as best man, Ushers will include Earl Dahl, La Porte; Joseph Kreiger, Greensburg, and James Bertrand.

Fall Ceremony

Miss Alberta Pyles and John Thomas Hunt will be married in a late fall ceremony, Miss Pyles’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert G. Pyles, 3210 Guilford Ave., announce. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Dorothy Hunt of Greentown. He is a graduate of Purdue University and received his master’s degree in engineering from there also.

Miss Loucks Is Bride In Church Rite

In a gown of white satin, Miss Glodene Loucks became the bride of Charles R. Godme at 7:30 p. m. yesterday in the Christ Episcopal Church. The Rev, Fr. John P. Craine read the vows. The couple’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blume, 1139 Tecumseh St., and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Godme, 1728 Brookside Ave. Miss Mary Mayfield was maid of honor. She wore a frock of blue marquiset. The bridesmaids in dresses fashioned like the honor attendant in yellow, aqua, pink and green were Misses Marilyn Bertram, Lois Beatty, Bea Hayes and Judy Laxen.

Best Man

Harry Shea was the best man, and the ushers included Tom Pease, Richard Stanfield, Tony Miles and Charles Keller. The bride's ivory satin gown was designed with a molded bodice. Her twotiered fingertip veil was attached to an ivory satin head-

piece highlighted by seed pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of white gladiolas with tufts of lace. Following the reception at the church the couple left for Chicago. The bridegroom attended Butler University.

Marott Tea Announces Betrothal

The approaching marriage of Miss Carol Arnholter was announced yesterday at a tea given by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Harold E. Arnholter, 47 S. Spencer Ave. in the Marott Hotel. Miss Arnholter will become the bride of Jack Simmons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph A. Simmons, 321 N. Drexel Ave, in a 7:30 p. m. ceremony June 23 in Downey Avenue Christian Church. Mesdames Robert McMullen, John E. Edwards and Donald Coval and Miss Margaret Simmons assisted at the tea table.

D.T. Higgins, Miss Jones Exchange Wedding Vows

Miss Rosemary Jones became the bride of Donald Thomas Higgins at 9 a. m. yesterday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Officiating was the Rev. Fr. James P. Higgins of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church and the Rev. Fr. Joseph V. Beechem. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Lynch,

For her maid of honor the bride chose Miss Sue Jean Rinkel, who wore yellow organdy. In rainbow colors of green, pink and blue organdy, the bridesmaids were Miss Mildred Specht, Miss + Dorothy Mayer and Miss Helen Paetz. William J. Higgins, Washington, was his brother’s best man. The ushers were Robert F. Higgins, John M. Higgins and Harry F. Dorséy.

Bride's Gown

The bride's gown was of traditional white satin, fashioned with a sheer yoke and cathedral train. Her fingertip veil was held with a tiara. She carried a prayerbook topped with a white orchid. A breakfast in Jones Restaurant followed the rite. A reception was ‘held from 1 to 4 p. m. at 639 N. Tacoma Ave.

Miss Alexia Hall To Be Married

At 10 a. m. yesterday Miss Alice Marie Harvey and Robert L. Hood exchanged wedding véws in the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Raymond Moll officiated for the double-ring service. Mr. and Mrs. George C, Harvey, 6032 Winthrop Ave, are parents of the bride. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Helen Hood, 1102 Wallace Ave. Miss Catherine Gastineau served as maid of honor. She wore a frock of pink lace and net. Bridesmaid’s dressed like the honor ate tendant were Mrs. John Cain and Miss Mary Sullivan.

William Hudson, Connersville, was his cousin’s best man, Dr. Robert J. Harvey of Oakland, Cal, and Ben Loyal were ushers. Carrying a cascade bridal bouquet of white and green, the bride wore a gown of ivory satin and point de Lyon lace. Her two tiered fingertip veil of imported illusion was attached to an {ivory satin braided halo. A wedding breakfast was held in the Martinique Lounge immediately after the rite, A reception in the home of the bride's parents was held from 2 to 4 p. m.
