It Seems Jesse James
Taught Sunday School
FULTON, Mo (UP)—As long as there's a Missouri, there will be new Jesse James stories. The latest, found in the Mexico (Mo.) Evening Ledger of Oct. 11, 1910, brought to light the fact that the outlaw once taught Bible classes. James served the old Unity Church as Sunday school superintendent for a month and taught
{classes of little children in the
{open air. He
was known as
| “Brother Johnson.”
Jesse's Sunday school days ended abruptly when he learned of plans to capture him at a Sunday school picnic at Wommack. One of his friends tipped him off the Ledger piece said, and he fled.
Fraternity Drops Skunk Mascot, Girls Get Him

So the scentless Air Wick was nosed out of the club. |
He was given to the women’s
{bucket brigade of a volunteer fire § company. The girls are delighted.
They've been hunting for years {for a mascot appropriate to the name of their organization: The ‘Hinsdale Shun.
