Crove gathered nine hits off Joe H-owthorne and Jesse Fiermann. Lawrence Central's Bob Pugh and Emery McConnell led the Bears as Dean Apple fanned seven Warriors, permitting four hits. Pugh blasted a triple and
the fifth for the Bears' seven-run splurge. Pugh had five RBI's. McConnell had three for four, ineluding a double. His mates have won three of seven games to date. Ben Davis’ Leon Redenbacher topped Dave Hastings in a mild pitching duel marred by six Franklin Township errors, Redenbacher gave the Flashes four hits, one of them a line drive homer over the right field wall at the 262-foot mark with Bob Crick aboard. The Giants scored off two hits! in the first inning, aided by an
