maneuvers, F-51s| of the 123d Fighter-Bomber! Wing, based at Godman Air] Force Base, Kentucky, will fly in close tactical support of the infantry units. Roaring in over the heads of the GIs for simulated atrafling and bombing runs, the pilots will give the foot soldiers a graphic illustration of how air support is used to “soften up” or knock out objectives before they are stormed by the infantrymen. In a fire-power demonstration May 23, 18 aircraft will show the infantrymen how the Air Force works the enemy over with 50 caliber machine guns, five-inch rockets, 250-pound general purpose bombs and Napalm —the Jellied gasoline fire bomb.

Coast Guard to Renew

Hunt for Missing 'Copter JUNEAU, Alaska, May 12 (UP) —The Coast Guard planned to renew its search today for a helicopter with two men aboard missing since last night in the rugged country 90 miles north of here. The Civil Aeronautics Administration said the missing Coast Guard craft took off from Warm Springs Bay on Baranoff Island on a mapping mission. It carried no radio or emergency gear and had only a 21-hour fuel supply.

Mrs. William Oatis said that she had already sent telegrams to the two Senators from Minnesota. Mr. Oatis disappeared Apr. 23 in Prague where he was the AP bureau chief, Later, Czech officials reported that he had been arrested on charges of “hostile activities” to-| ward the Czech government. |
