Dr. Helen D. Brakdon, Washington, D. C., general director of the AAUW, was guest speaker at the formal banquet on “Thoughts on Grass Roots.” She emphasized the importance of the two-way freedom of the AAUW.

Tomorrow's program will include an 8:30 a. m. business session, election of officers and the cloging noon luncheon at which Mrs. Ralph B. Alspaugh, regional vice president, will speak.

Homer Day, retired Prudential Life Insurance man, will be interred in Washington Park Mausoleum following services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel. He died yesterday in his home, 425 YN. TaSalle 8t. He was T1. - .

By United Press WASHINGTON, Apr. 28 (UP) —Organized labor today was reported “just about set” to go back {into the mobilization program lock, stock and barrel, A spokesman said an announcement that union representatives would return to their defense ad-| visory posts and the Wage Stabilization Board would “quite probably” come after a Monday meet-| ing of the United Labor Policy| Committee. The committee, composed of AFL, CIO and independent rail-| way unions, guides union policies in the defense program. It called! the walkout on the mobilization | program more than two months | ago.
