Groups Plan Joint Sessions

Pastors of various denominations and Christian education workers from all over Hoosierdom will hold their annual conventions here next week. The Indiana State Pastors’ Coni’ ference, which

for years cont vened in January, changed its custom and planned to meet Fs 1 multaneously with the Christian . - Education group. Both are allied with the Indiana Council of Churches of : which Dr. Ralph L. Holland is general secretary. The council will hold its eighth annual assembly following the adjournment of the two conventions Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Third Christian Church. Tuesday Through Thursday The pastors’ sessions will be Tuesday through Thursday in the Third Church and the other convention, the same days in the Central Avenue Methodist Church. The groups will hold united sessions Tuesday night in the Third Church and Wednesday night, in the Scottish Rite Cathedral. A number of the celebrities invited to speak will address both conventions. Among the outstanding features scheduled are the reenactment of the formation of the National Council of Churches, a town meeting on church and economic life, discussion of age group problems by leaders in the know, sermons by famous preachers and other addresses. The delegates have named their] joint meetings an observance of “Ecumenical Week” devoting, much of the time to emphasis on the worldwide expressions of Christianity. Dr. Frantz to Speak

On a high cliff in the Bavarian Alps Ludwig II built his castle.

More than a home, it was a fortress, a safe place for a king to live in dangerous times. Ironically enough, Ludwig died only a few years after he had

completed his castle. He didn’t really get much use out of it

after all.

Down the valley there stands a little church. It is not nearly as imposing as Ludwig's castle. But it has been home and fortress to thousands through the trials and spiritual battles

of life.

nen

Honestly now, which is truly a man’s castle? The one he builds and in which he lives — or the one that BUILDS HIM, and in which he WORSHIPS?

Plan now to attend the Church or Synagogue of your choice.
