Sgt. Luther, a member of the 703d Ordnance Maintenance Company has been in Korea since vere September. He was sent overseas in August and was stationed in Japan for a month.

‘“He’s never seen our son, John! Jr., who was born Sept. 28,” Mrs. Luther said.

The picture Sgt. Luther entered! is printed on silk. It is a copy of Mrs. Luther's wedding picture which he had enlarged from a smaller photo while he was stationed in Japan. !

Deadline for the contest which is sponsored by the Times and RCA Victor record dealers of Marion county is Saturday. Anyone may send in pictures of their favorite girls—wife, daugh- 1 ter, mother, grandmother, or the girl next door. Any number of pictures may be submitted.

© WASHINGTON, April 19 (UP) —-John Maragon, former Kansas Citybootblack who became familiar about the White House, was called today to tell what he knows about profiteering on U. S.| war surplus goods. Maragon was summoned before’ a house executive expenditures subcommittee investigating what became of billions of dollars of U.
