Pfc. Warren L. Humdt, son of Louis A. Humdt, La Porte Neither family has heard the details of the wounds suffered by Pf¢s. Oliver and Sanders. Pfc. Sanders, serving in the Marine Corps for the second time. was with the 1st Marine Division. A veteran of 18 months service in 1945 and 1946; he was graduated from Washington High School before his recall to active duty with the 16th Marine Battalion in August, 1950. He is 23. A letter was received recently by Mrs. Suzan Seymoure, 708 Torbett St.. from her brother, Pfc. Oliver, who is serving with the 15th Infantry Regiment in Korea. Overseas since Nov. 13, he was wounded in the hand. Pfc. Oliver, who is. 18. had been attending Crispus Attucks High School prior to his entrance into the Army last May.

Nineteen emergency policewomen were hired by the Safety
{Board and sworn in at 11 a. m,
Fourteen of the new women officers were to he assigned to Juvenile Aid, which had origi-
nally sparked the move in requesting additional aid. The others were to clerical, relief and other at Indianapolis police quarters, 35 S. Alabama St.

from 22 to 55 may apply for the emergency positions.
| Policewoman Marjorie Small 'was suspended for 30 days by the board for being absent from duty without leave, It was her third suspension on the same charge. Ray Torrence, former traffic officer who quit the force Jan. 1 to become an investigator for Sheriff Dan Smith, was rehired by the Safety Board today. Mr. Torrence left Sheriff Smith's employ Feb, 10 in company with James McMillan, another former policeman who became a deputy at the same time,
