A reception in the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority house at Butler University followed the wedding of Miss Lucille Louise Barrett and Ralph Shreve Jones yesterday. The 3:30 p. m. ceremony, read by the Rev. Herbert Huffman. was in the First Friends Church. The bride, who attended Western College and is a graduate of Butler University, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Barrett, 5869 Guilford Ave. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard G. Jones, Paoli. Pa. A member of Alpha Pi Lambda Fraternity, he attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia. The bride's attendants wore aqua marquiset and carried yellow sweetheart roses and car-

matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. James O'Banion, Philadelphia; Miss Eleonore Holtermann, Jamaica, N. Y.; Misses Barbara McCown, Macy Glendening and Jeanne Robinson. Cici Kennedy was flowergirl. John Stanton, Glenolden, Pa., was best man, Ushers were Howard C. Jones Jr. Paoli, Max Welters, Robert Gardner, Larry DeWolf and John R. Barrett Jr. The bride's gown of ivory satin and lace

was fashioned with a molded bodice, sheer voke, fitted long sleeves, and a full skirt which fell into a cathedral train. :

Her two-tiered fingertip veil cascaded from an ivory lace Juliet cap. She carried a white prayerbook topped with a white orchid. After the reception, the couple left for Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Miss Lois Hilkene to Become Bride Of Thomas Fenner Gibson Jr. June 2 ‘Spring and summer wedding plans highlight nuptial

news this week.

Miss Lois Hilkene will become the bride of Thomas Fenner Gibson Jr. in a June 12 ceremony, her mother, Mrs. Henry L. Hilkene, 4315 Park Ave., announces. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Gibson of Haddonfield, N. J.

The rite will be performed in the Second Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jean S. Milner officiating. ’ Miss Hilkene is a graduate of Indiana University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She is a member of the Indianapolis Junior League. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Princeton University and did graduate work at the University of Chicago. He is now attending Indiana University Law School.

The bridegroom, a graduate of DePauw University, is a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Miss Moore to Be Wed Charles V. Retherford Jr. will take Miss Alayne Moore as his bride in a summer wedding. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore, Marblehead, Mass.; Mrs. Hazel Retherford of Acton and Mr. Retherford, 1451 Central Ave. The bride-to-be will be graduated in June from the State Teachers College at Framingham, Mass. The prospective bridegroom was graduated from Harvard University and is currently a student in the Harvard University Law School.

A May 20 wedding is being planned by Miss Marilyn Schmadeke and John E. Langdon. The couple's parents are Mr. and Mrs. August W. Schmadeke, 950 Ellenberger Pkwy. W. Drive, and

Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Langdon, Hornersville, Mo. The 3:30 p.m. service will be performed in the Redeemer Lutheran Church. The bride-to-be, a graduate of Stephens College and Indiana University, is a member of Phi Mu Sorority. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate’ of the University of Missouri.

Miss Donna Cattin became the bride of .George W. Gaither Jr. in an Apr. 7 ceremony in Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church. Parents of the couple are Mrs. James Newton, Greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. George W. Gaither, Beech Grove. The Rev. Fr. Richard Mueller performed the 10 a.m. service.

Miss Burkert Is Bride

Vows uniting Miss Rosemary Theresa Burkert and Leo Joseph Strack were read at 9:30 a. m. yesterday in the Holy Name Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Louis Schumacher officiated. .

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 8. A, Burkert, Beech Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Strack Sr., 920 E. Tabor St., are parents of the bridegroom. Miss Patricia Burket, maid of honor, wore orchid net and lace. Miss Anna Clare Strack, bridesmaid, wore yellow net. Sylvia Burkert, in pink, was junfor bridesmaid. Marion Strack, in blue, was flowergirl. The best man was Raymond J. Strack Jr. Ushers were Frank Strack and+*Danfel Sullivan. Gowned in white marquiset and lace, the bride carried white orchids and carnations. Her two-tiered, fingertip veil was attached to a shirred band trimmed with valley lilies. A wedding breakfast at Whispering Winds followed.
