It was designed for use on power plants delivering more than 5000 horsepower and can be used on both turbines and piston engines. The large new propeller, called a turbo-hydromatic, is a far cry from the hand-carved wooden blades used by the Wrights, It has electronic control to regulate its hydraulic pitch - changing mechanism for various degrees of flight.
