France said, however, that he has not been given any orders by the governor “as yet.” Under Mr. France are 50 liquor enforcement agents charged with| checking on iiquor violations over | the state. In the past, Mr. France| complained that he did not have enough men to properly enforce the liquor laws. ' During the last session of the state legislature, State Sen. EdDemocrat of East Chicago, proposed that the liquor enforcement agents be a\sorbed by the state police for better overall enforcement. The proposal failed to make any headway.
