‘Strman of the Weak
‘Heaven's Good News’:
Scripture: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:18,
HE SHALL shortly remember two of the moat
sacred days In the Christian,
calendar, Good Friday and Easter, In the light of these, and the events they portray, we should take stock of ourselves, our need and our privilege. It would seem, in the minds
of many, if ever there were one need greater at this time than any other, it is that we state once again the simple truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not in the language of the theologian but in simple, direct English, the speech of the comman man. And the true Gospel is short. Hear the words of the Saviour himself as in Luke 19:10 he says, “For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost” And Phillipians 2:6-8 cofhpletes the how, when it says, “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not
robbery to be equal with God;
but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in the fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Yes, He sought, and by the cross He wrought out salvation, individual and personal.
