Services for William R. Tibbs, engineering contact man for Allison Division, General Motors Corp.,, were to be at 2:30 p. m. today in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel with burial in Washington Park.

Mr. Tibbs, who was 61, died Friday in his home at 907 Eastern Ave. He had been ill] 15 wegks. A native of Middletown, he lived here 38 years and belonged to the Woodruff Place Baptist. Church.

He was formerly an automobile galesman and worked for Allison's the last 10 years.

Surviving are his wife, Cora: two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Hinchman and Mrs. Opal Colvin, Indianapolis; two sons, Richard, Indianapolis, and Thomas 8. Rochester, N. Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Roxie Stanley, Cowan, and Mrs. Mae Melson, Anderson, and five grandchildren,
