Names Assistant

All Souls Unitarian Church today announced the appointment of a new. assistant pastor and a coming series of lectures on “Mental Health.” The Rev. John Hanley Morgan, minister of the U nitarian Church, Charlotte, N. C.,, will assume his duties as assistant to Dr." E. Burdette Backus at All Souls, May! 15. Dr. Rudolf Dreikuts, professor of psychiatry at the University of Chicago and a practicing physician, will lecture on “Mental Health” on four successive Mondays from 8:30 to 10 p. m. beginning the coming Monday. He has chosen for the general theme of his talks: “Cultural Upheaval and Modern Family Life.” A’question and answer period will follow each lecture,

The Rev. Mr. Morgan was horn in New Albany, Ind. He was graduated from Ball State Teachers’ College in 1943 and from Harvard Divinity School in 1948. He has written a book of poetry, “Strange Return,” taught EngUsh literature at. Curry College and served as minister of the Waverly Unitarian Society of Waverly, Mass.

The new assistant minister is a member of the Unitarian Fellowship for. Social Justice, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Fellowship of Reconciliation and Americans. for Democratie Action. ‘His wifes{a a fos=Rer Jeannette Mutzfield of ‘Butler’ Ind.
