Streak for Hoosiers

Goelie Sugar (Jim) Henry, who| missed the Indianapolis Caps’ 7 to 5 loss last night in St. Louis, is expected to be back in the nets for the Hoosiers when they open their week-end series tomorrow in Cleveland. Rookie Bill Brennan, who ypened the season with Indianapolis and played the first 11 games, was borrowed from/| Omaha for last night's action that broke the Caps’ 5-game winning streak. Henry has been sidelined with the flu. Cap Coach Ott Heller also got| into uniform to replace the in-| jured Rags Raglan and accounted for one of the Indianapolis goals. | With 3405 spectators watching, | the Flyers swarmed through the Indianapolis defense for six goals.

Captain Sparks Attack

The ¥lyers' captain. Billy Mc~omb, and Paul Gladu and the ‘aps’ Gordon Haidy each scored wo goals. Ernie Trigg sent the Flyers head at 8:16 of the first period ind the Caps never caught up. McComb added a gecond at 15:40 «nd then Joe Carveth scored for the Caps at 16:07. | Eric Pogue, McComb, Gladu | and Roy Kelly boosted the Flyers’ lead to 6-1 before Heller countared at 19:18, In the final period, Gladu added the last Flyer goal at 2:58. | When Defenseman Vic Grigg of | ihe Flyers accidentally pusned | the puck into his own cage, the| “aps had a goal credited to Fred | “lover and a new spirit. Forcing | he attack, they tallied twice | with Haidy netting both of them. But with five minutes to go, the] Flyers steadied and held ihe | Caps the rest of the way.

Not Costly Loss

The Caps’ loss didn't cost them | any points in the western Divi-| gion’s standings as Pittsburgh, | tied with Cincinnati for third and fourth places, was whipped, 4 to] » at Cteveland. It was the Barons’ 14th straight victory at home. f= In the league's four games last! 1ight 44, goals were scored. Her-| hey continued its drive to overake Buffalo in the Eastern Divi-

a0 Eid Harrison. scored

four times for Hershey. Right] Wing Jack Stoddard registered | the hat trick as Providence went | into the Eastern’s third place again with a big 10 to 5 victory over Buffalo at Providence.
