#U. S. Officials Aware .Titoland Could Be ‘ Another ‘Korea’ “. By PETER LISAGOR WASHINGTON, Feb. 22 (CDN) | Would Russia attempt to get way with a “puppet” attack gainst Yugoslavia? Some informed judgments here ave doubted that the Kremlin, hoting rationally, would risk a vorld war by such an ill-dis-pujsed attempt. e But officials feel they can’t ont on rational behavior where to is concerned. They're also aware that Yugolavia could be another “Korea” hecause ‘there are stooge troops Available in Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania, which nudge up| against the frontiers of Titoland. | Reports indicate that these three satellites have roughly 600,000 men under arms, far beyond the peace treaty limits. They're also known to be equipped with armor, some air power and Soviet officers, :

: Perkins Visit Cited

This, in itself, would be enough to. account for the concern over Yugoslavia and the present visit there of Assistant Secretary of State George W. Perkins. Because of a, present lack of| policy on what steps the Western| powers would take if Yugoslavia| were attacked, high-level talks are under way now with these considerations in mind. Mr. ‘Acheson has broadly intimated that the United States would not idly watch an attack! ont Yugoslavia. Mr. Perkins, of course, did not go there to discuss grouse shooting with Tito. Mr. Perkins is expected to get Tito's estimate of the attack pos-| sibilities and perhaps some idea’ of what the Yugosiavs might need in aid. Apart from the ideological factors, Yugoslavia is regarded by authorities as important on strategic grounds. In a word, it's a link with Greece and Turkey, which the West is pledged to help

If Yugoslavia should fall by the wayside, without Western aid, | Italy probably would begin to totter immediately and the Mu-| nich psychology would go briskly! to work in France, diplomatic experts feel.
