In early radio, they were actually shaned like tin cans and almost large so this term has been handed-down. A “crow-foot” is a three-legged device’ placed under tripods to prevent cameras from slipping. A “gizmo” or “kajotty” is anything you can't find any |other name for. “Dolly,” one-of-the most common words in television, means to push or pull a camera to or from its subject. This word dates to the early days of that master movie maker, Mack Sennett, who! once took a great many shots of one of his favorite bathing beauties, Dolly Garrett. There-| after, when a camera moved into or away from its subject, it was called a “dolly” shot.
