LET'S TALK ABOUT
By LOUIS RAINIER DOUBLE STANDARD
A bedroom that is to be shared should be planned by the two people that will occupy it. Everything should be chosen to express their combined personalities . . harmoniously. A room need not be all fluff to have a feininine flavor; nor severely tailored to have masculine appeal. There is a happy medium. The new double-standard bedroom furniture has been ingeniously designed to meet this need. Twin beds that may be placed against one wide headboard; a double bureau with two tiers of rcomy drawers and an ex-tra-wide mirror; a spaciot low chest that ean double for a desk—all of these are so beautifully and simply styled that they will delight the mod-ern-minded and also those who prefer a traditional or provincial decorative theme.
The beauty of pieces may be effectively dramatized with the richer, stronger colors in spread and draperies that are in character with the new deeper decor of today’s walls,
Suggested deep agua
these fine
color scheme: walls; platinum broadloom rug; bark brown draperies in rough - textured fabric with gold-colored monograms on matching spreads; blond oak or ash furniture, If space permits add chaise longue covered in chamois-col-lored velvet.
We invite vou to come fin and look ever our comprehensive selection of bedroom furnishings. We know you'll be pleased.
