Served With 58th Quartermaster Outfit

Two Hoosier soldiers, Pfc. Harold R. Brummett, Indianapolis, and Sgt. William 8. Stubblefield, Evansville, served with the 58th Quartermaster Salvage Company of the Tenth Corps in Korea as it made one of the outstanding salvage jobs of any war. The 58th helped save tons of petroleum, rations, clothing and

other material while thousands the defense perimeter around, flaming Hungnam. Pfe. Brummett enlisted in 1841, was discharged following World War II and enlisted again in 1048. He served in the European theater during World War II. He is thé husband of Mrs. Lorene Brummett, 2014 N., Temple Ave., and the son of Mr. apd Mrs. Benjamin F. Brummett, 2501 N, Colorado St. Sgt. Stubblefield, whose parents are Mr, and Mrs. Ocie L. Stubblefield, Evansville, is a graduate of Evansville’s Lincoln High School, where he was an outstanding athlete.

Lt. (ig) Thomas M. Billings, 6451 Holliday Dr., recently graduated from the U. 8. Naval General Line School at Monterey, Cal. Lt.
