By FRANK ANDERSON DROP THAT — of Shakespeare, prof. y Feast your eyes ofi another classic . . . the Hoosler Classic. The fourth annual Big Four revue opéns a two-night run in Butler Fieldhouse at 7:30 tonight. On stage will be Butler, Indiana, Notre Dame and Purdue. Purdue and Notre Dame will open the show and Butler and favored Indiana are scheduled for curtain calls at 9:30. In the finale,: tomorrow night, Butler and Purdue share the 7:30 spot and Indiana and Notre Dame hoof it at 9:30. That's two big nights of basketball. And it shows what everybody knew all the time: That higher educatien in Indiana doesn’t Reglect he classics. v tJ

THE BIG Sale started in 1947 when ‘Butler's “Buckshot” O’Brien and Jimmy Doyle were undergraduates. The presence of two such distinguished students of pass, pivot and pant was enough to give Butler the classic crown for 1047 and 1948. It was ~also enough to give the Bulldogs the distinétion of being unbeaten in four classic starts. Last year it was different, or halfway different. Indiana knocked off the Bulldogs®and Notre Dame to win the title. So, after three years of classicism, the teams will stack up like this: Butler's still top dog with 5-1. Indiana is runner up with 4-2, Notre Dame third at 3-3. Purdue's Bollermakers have never won a classic game, -

Bomber Buck held six classic records when he was graduated last June. The two most important are a three-year total of 96 points and a single-game high of 33 against Indiana made last year. s ~ » . - NOW BUCKSHOT is no more. The glamour is gone from the Butler setup, The Bulldogs have just five guys named Joe to

; But Indiana has a guy who can take some of Buck's glory. He's Center Bill Garrett, the third-ranking all-time classic scorer and the only player in the classic who has a chance of breaking
