Delays in Reportin Will Be Cut Down 9

Naval reservists ordered to ac-/§ tive duty will no longer be granted the usual delay in reporting, it was announced today. |; Delays will be granted, the Bureau of Naval Personnel announced, only in the following categories: ONE: Individuals employed or engaged in critical occupations and essential activities identified as such by the Departments of Labor or Commerce.

TWO: Individuals occupying key Jobs in industry] or key positions in scientific ac-| tivities.

THREE: Individuals enrolled in educational institutions or engaged in technical research and scientific. activities. Requests for delay in reporti should. -be - submitted - by - letter within 48 hours after orders for active duty are received, the Navy Department announced.
