Annette Arne of Milwaukee, Wis, has had a great deal of fun with this igea. During the Christmas season there are often adver= tisements of large-sized heads of Santa Claus as the main attrace tion. These pictures can be made into an attractive novelty. We often hear of S8anta’s twinkling eyes, and now you can really. seem to make them twinkle with a few simple steps. Cut the picture you want out of the advertisement, then cut out the eyes, leaving the lids and eyelashes if shown. . : oe Now paste the portrait of Santa on a cardboard, and cut out the: eye openings through the card. Next cut a card in the general shape. of a ping-pong paddle, and place it behind the Santa picture. Mark the location of the eyes on the paddle card, and paste the eyes on thi§ card in the proper location. When In position you should be: able to hold the eye card besind the picture, and using your hand, make his eves roll from side to side and up and down. His eyes will fairly twinkle!
