PIN TINY BELLS ON YOUR SOCKS

“Here, ln . TINY TOTS WiLL - ENJOY THEM. Too 12-2

~ “Last Christmas season I saw two high school girls walking along through the downtown crowds with little sleigh bells tinkling from the tops of their socks. They did attract attention which they may have wanted,*but it was so much in keeping with the spirit of Christmas that everyone enjoyed it. Too few of us ever get to hear the jingle of sleigh bells as they bounce along on the harness of a horse pulling a sleigh full of happy people. Why not start a Christmas fad in your crowd by wearing bells on your feet? Most every dime and department store sells them to be used as buttons or ornaments for Christmas gifts. It is simple enough to pin them with a small safety pin to the front or back of your bobby socks. Mothers of small fry may want to get a set for the little ones to pin to their sock tops. A child with bells will be as easy to find in a Christmas crowd as the little lamb who went astray, although they are not always “lambs.”
