Figure If out. Check Waistline

| ~ By EDYTH THORN TON { McLEOD

. THE BODY balance line

begins to change and to curve with the approach of maturity. It is very important that you consider your figure line. Food control 'will reduce your weight and exercise will aid in giving you a better silhouet.

Following a strict diet is, in my.

opinion, a matter which shou be discussed with your family doctor. If you are over 40 and you want to lose excess pounds, don’t dash into a trick diet. It may not be the proper diet for you. Exercise will limber and aid in reducing wherever you concentrate the exercise. And once you start with exercise, stick with it. You will look better and, what is of paramount importance, I think you will feel better.

= n = YOU MUST figure it out yourself and make a plan for reducing through food control and sensible eating. And remember that “Your waistline is. your lifeline.” An increasing waistline should be held in check by every woman who is approachAng 40, 40. of course, lt ie

40, but you can do it

To achieve beauty after 40, whether in your. mental outlook or your face and figure, it is important to be on your toes and never allow yourself to slump into inactivity, Here are two ‘basic exercises for over 40. If you are very heavy, go slow at first, but if you will concentrate you will get results. This exercise improves the pos-’ ture of neck and head. The drooping head and the dowager's hump at the back of the neck are real signs of age and

on the floor. You'll probably groan at first if you are much overweight. Lie flat and relax. Bring right knee up and pull it toward you with clasped hands. *Usé a strong; sustained pull and while you are doing this you should keep the other leg flat on floor with knee straight. Do this five times with each leg at first, increasing the number of times gradually. This aids in strengthening your _abdominal - muscles and really does help to corect faulty elimination, Work on these exercises and I'll be giving you more for other parts of the body.
