The casualties it suffered on - Leyte were 241 Killed, wounded, two missing, a total of 11099. Its casualties on Luzon were 680 killed, 2334 wounded, three missing, a total of 3017. The point.is that in this Korean campaign the 1st Cavalry Division has sufiered --not as many casualties as-it did in any single campaign it’ fought .in the last WAr, not as many as any two but nearly twice as many as it had in all three pit together.
