today on favorable, interpretations of the election returns. Orders to buy came in from all parts. of the nation. They were bunched into blocks ranging to 15,000 shares in” General Motors which opened at $52, up $1.63 partly reflecting dividends of $2.50 a share Seciared late Monday. United States’ Steel had a 12-000-share block at $41, up $1.88 a share. Bethlehem Steel rose $2.13 to $44.63 on 6000 shares.
