Soldiers Left in Road
The “hatchetmen” left both soldiers lying on the road and forced the girls into their car. The 15-year-old girl said she resisted when the men tried to disrcbe her, and one of them swung a hatchet at her gashing her lip. - The girls said they took off their clothes when their attackers threatened to kill them. Each was raped twice while one of the men stood over them with a hatchet. The girls were released, each thinking the soldiers had been killed, But they were found and taken to Douglas County Hospital. Later they were moved to Offutt Air Force Base, where they are stationed.
