Saddle Group Plans Event at Clermont

Hoosier horsemen will saddle up and hit the trails to Lion’s Club Park in Clermont next Sunday as the Indiana Saddle Horse Association revives its old-time “Roundup.” J Hundreds of horse lovers are expected to attend the “Roundup,” | first of its kind held since 1042, Col. Harold D. Johnson, Indianapolis, president of the Association, has appointed committees headed by Paul O. Ferrell and Verne K. Reeder to plan the i program for the gathering. Lions Park offers ample space, ‘land facilities for horsemen and their mounts and plenty of room| for spectators, sponsors sald. |

Officials said they have planned 'a fast-moving show staged in three sections, the first at 10 am, the second at 1 p.m. and the final {show at 7 p.m. There will be a brief religious 'service in the morning, with the minister, the choir and the wor{shipers on horseback. | One special event will be the {“Fancy Turnout” entry which will bring out relics of the horse {and buggy days, with each con{testant striving to top competiXr tong with a gay and colorful Trophies and ribbons will go to winners of the various eventa.
