Aluminum foil has become so useful for household cooking that it can be purchased at most stores now. It is even fun on cool afternoons to bake yourself an apple in your own backyadl. Cooking with aluminum foil is almost fool-proof if you know anything about cooking at all. You young Try-Iteers must ask Mom or Dad to help you with the fire, : For baking an apple dig a small hole about the size of the crown of a cowboy hat. Start a fire in the pit, and burn enough wood to half fill it with glowing coals. While your fire is burning down cut off the tops of one or two apples, and take out the cores with an apple corer. Now fill the center with a teaspoon or so of sugar mixed with raisins and a sprinkling of cinnamon or cloves, as you like it. Bring in the corners of the foil. and twist before placing on the coals for about 12 minutes. Test with a fork before removing to be sure the apple is soft, then open and eat with a spoon right off the foil. HM-mmmmm! MONDAY—An Indoor Trellis From a Coat-
