MAKE A SPOON CHARACTER HERG, FOR EAM SCHOOL BOOK SWEET Here are some characters for your schoolbooks that will add fun to your studies. All you need to make these little bookmarks is a few flat wooden spoons such as those often served with dishes of ice cream. The characters you make can either be in keeping with the book subject or can be comical. Here is qne way that you can draw a picture of your teacher (only of course you wouldn’t) and keep it as a bookmark. If you are taking French, you might make a French doll types with fluffy yarn hair. For exaggerated earrings just use reinforcing rings like you use to reinforce the holes in loose leaf notebook paper. Paint the handle of the spoon to represent the dress, and color th eyes and cheeks to finish the doll. A With a knife whittle out: horns on a book-worm, and paint it green or yellow with pink polka dots or some other ridiculous color.

Football players painted in your school colors, policemen, soldiers Gen. D and nurses are just a few of the possibilities for characters. Let landing at these people hold your place!
