Later the same year, Army brass decreed that the 424th would live again and it was set up with batteries at Columbus, Lebanon and Anderson. These groups joined the headquarters and service companies at Indianapolis in September, 1947. Now the only man in the unit not from Indianapolis lives in Woodruff Place,
