Outdoor cooks are always burning their fingers if they are

hot handles to hold. Some time ago in our camp we had a lot of clean feed sacks left from winter pony feed, and we tried to think of a craft in which we could use the pony sacks. Someone sug-

o Bo8tE DOL PAGS, cere foie | With a palr of shears we soon made six, nine inch squares and

laid them one on top of the other. This was plenty of padding to keep the hand from getting hot. A big needle threaded with strong bright yarn was stuck through the burlap and back, then tied tightly in a knot. ; All knots were formed in a pattern and tied on the same side. The edges could have been whipped, but we did not bother as they made good rough serviceable pads just as they were. This is a good project for young campers to take home for Dad's back-

yard cooking.—MONDAY-—Cut Pinwheels From Paper Squares.,
