It is really surprising nowadays how few boys and girls, and even adults, ever have an opportunity to learn how to drive a nail. Time was when children helped in the constrction of many things around the house and property. “TRY-iteers” learn to use tools because many projects require some ability with carpenter's tools. In our summer camp we have many stunts and contests that require certain skills, One contest that is most enjoyed by the audience as well as contestants is the Nail-Driving Contest. This competition can be held inside or out-of-doors, but it is ideally done in the open. In camp we use eross sections of logs or heavy planks. (Be sure they are not oak). Each player is given Bix large nails and all have hammers of equal weight. In a large group it is best to have just two or three race at a time, then some can challenge the winner, At the word go, each person
