Start Building Next Week
“St. Paul's to Get
Superstructure
Work on the superstructure of the St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church will start next week. The Rev, Harry E. Harsh, pastor, says the completed construction will cost about $121,000. Members have been worshiping for a year in the roofed basement of the prospective church, E. 10th St. and Ritter Ave. The ‘new church of Indiana limestone {in semi-Gothic design will stand in the middle of a city block owned by the parish, The building will be "“L” shaped. Much of the site will be used for parking space. The basement contains a sociatiroom, kitchen and stage. The new structure will include the worship auditorium, Sunday school and choir rooms, the pastor's study, a balcony and chapel. The auditorium alone will seat 238 ‘and about 450 when adjacent. rooms are thrown open.
