HERD. : ar FLOUR. SACKS SWEET FOR TENT SIDE WALLS

Here is a tent patterned after the more expensive umbrella tents, It is real fun to “camp out” in your backyard. This kind of a tent is meant for play and can be used as a sun shade in yards where there are no trees. The flaps can be rolled up a little and pinned to allow for ventilation. The Indians used to ventilate their teepees in this fashion. : 3 Use an old umbrella, the larger the better. You may even have a beach umbrella to make into a top for your tent. As this tent is not intended to be water proof, the side walls may be pinned to the outside edges with heavy blanket pins. The side walls may be made’ from flour sacks: eut down one side and across the bottom, or old. sheets or curtains will be satisfactory. o& Regulate the height of the umbrella to fit the width of the side wall material by tying the handle at a desired height on a stake driven into the earth. Three guy ropes tied to the top of a brella give added support on windy days. Have fun. TOMO!
