The third plan also treuts the’ kitchen in which an ironer cannot be placed because of physical limitations. Both washer and dryer are along a wall, side by side, with the washer next to the trays. Beside the dryer is a «base oabinet. for stacking and sorting clothes. Whirlpool Kitchen No. 4 is for the minimum size laundry and kitchen. It includes an automatic washer, a dryer, an electric range, a refrigerator, and essential working tables. Planned for severely limited space, which is not uncommon in homes of today, it is an extremely efficient layout. Three Walls Preferred ~The long, narrow Kitchen Is handled by Plan 5. Whirlpool's "belief is that a three-way arrangement is preferable, because it| saves steps and permits maxis mum use of available space. The automatic washer, located against the short wall, is flanked by an ample-sized sorting table in the| corner to the right, and the stationary tub is similarly placed to the left. Next to the tub is the dryer, and work proceeds from there to the ironer at the extreme left... 1. For the complete laundry ina utility ‘or ‘laundry room, Whirlpool has contrived a plan that makes wash day a model of simplicity.
