Nylon Lastex swimsuit By LOUISE FLETCHER, Times Woman's Editor ALIFORNIA FASHIONS by California designers will be highlighted during the next two weeks at Block's. Two fashion shows are scheduled during that period—the first tomorrow at 2 and again at 5:30 p. m. in the store's auditorium. Second of the shows will be May 9 at 2 p. m. in the auditorium. : Among the costumes to be shown tomorrow are the three pictured. The aqua nylon Lastex swimsuit, by Caltex of California, has a halter tie which may be tucked into the top of the suit for uninterrupted suntanning. The suit is $12.95. California's Addie Masters is the designer for a golden brown coin-dotted baretop dress with its own jacket. The costume, $39.95, has a halter top and pique accents. Another California designer, Pat Premo, does a series of petal dresses this year . . . 80 named because of their scalloped design. Event Will Be Held Thursday
The fifth birthday of the Ernie Pyle Chapter, ITSC, will be celebrated at a chicken dinner Thursday in Shepherd's Restaurant. Mrs. Samuel J. Sanders willl --speak on “Scandinavian Art" and. the Ernie Pyle Sextet will pro-| vide special music.
Past presidents of the chapter, will be honored.
New officers include Mrs. Richard Baird, president; Mrs. M. B.| Higgason and Mrs. Richard Pier, first and second vice presidents; Mrs. Jon Misner and Mrs. James H. Otto, recording and corresponding secretaries; Mrs. Clifton Hanson, treasurer; Mrs. Sanders, auditor, and Mrs. Harry Uphaus, federation delegate.
