SULLIVAN, Apr. 13 (UP)—| Judge Norval K. Harris whose! feud with his prosecutor led to charges he was in contempt of the Indiana Supreme Court said today he has retained a former state supreme court judge as defense counsel. Judge Harris said Curtis G. Shake of Vincennes, who was a war crimes judge in Nuernberg, Germany, after serving on the state's highest court, would represent him in the contemp' action. Judge Harris said he had asked for a five-day extension, until Apr. 24 to file his’ answer to Prosecutor John K. Purcell's charge that Judge Harris was in contempt. Mr. Purcell said Judge Harris violated a supreme court writ of prohibition when Judge Harris asked a grand jury to ask him to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Mr, Purcell.
