. Cherry Pitter JVER TRY to pit canned cherries? Messy job, isn’t it? Probably worse than pitting the fresh variety. . .. It won't be if you equip yourself with a Hoover Cherry Pitter which, incidentally, will pit fresh cherries _ Just as speedily.
Costing $2.95 in Vonnegut stores, the crank-operated pitter is bright red plastic and clamps on a table. Cherries feed from a small “trough” . into, sockets where the Pits are neatly removed and discharged from the center of a cylinder as the crank is turned. The pitter is indorsed hy the National Red Cherry Institute and is said to embody the same principles used in the much bigger pitting machines - used in .commercial canneries, Good item to keep .in mind for the cherry canning season which is to come.
