Easter bids the human spirit take cognizance of the unexplainable. The mystery of the risen Christ still remains a mystery. But, though unexplainable by our knowledge or science, we account it as realizable and actual. The romance of the empty tomb in | “Joseph's ‘garden has filled the world with a prophetic urge! The ancient order of «i thought was—"This is a world of life unto death!" Christ reversed that so it reads— "This is a world of death unto life." The story of the open tomb, the risen Christ, the. spread of the Gospel, the birth of the church, allure us and pull us beyond the tragedy of Calvary's Cross. Even the nails could not hold Him. So Easter declares that the true symbol of Christianity is not the cross. It should be the open tomb!
