“I TRAIER WHO TIVes Tn "a vast wilderness of 25,000 square miles of plains, mountains, and red-walled canyons. On special days during ceremonials old and young men wear great silver concha belts

which are made by their expert silver craftsmen. The Navajo learned silversmithing from the Mexicans years ago, and now when the family goes to town they all wear beautiful bracelets, rings, necklaces, buttons and belts. ; ‘ Now, if you want to make a belt that will sparkle and shine like silver, save about a dozen aluminum milk bottle caps, and turn with the label side in. - Punch two holes in each Side of the bottle caps with a pair of scissors. Start at the middle of a shoe string, and tie a simple knot, making a loop. Lace both ends through a bottle cap, then tie a knot. Repeat this, placing the caps evenly around the belt. "If you need two shoe strings for - proper fit, tie them together as shown. You will be proud to wear your Indian belt. TOMORROW Make a “Beanie” from Dad's OLD Hat.
