MARBLE BAGS FROM OLD INNERTUBES
-The-Cub-Scouts-of the Central-Indiana Council at their annual
| hobby and craft shows have dozens of articles made from old inner-
tubes. The innértubes when cut and flattened into a sheet, makeé a
| material almost as acceptable as leather. It is a good material for .
boys and girls to practice on before working on the expensive
: leather.
~The marble season arrives with the first spring, so let's use some of this innertube rubber to make a marble bag. Cut a strip four inches wide and, ten inches“long, and with a pair of séissors notch, saw-tooth fashion, 'down both ten inch sides. Fold the rubber in half, and using a paper punch, put holes at half inch intervals through both thicknesses for lacing with ‘quarter inch strips of Innertube. Scallop the edge of the four inch top, and punch
.....{ holes in it for a drawstring thong made. from a shoe-lace.. a With colored crayon print “Marbles” on the:side of the bag, have
‘em “in the bag'’—they won't, spill on the floor. ~—MONDAY—AN AFTERSCHOOL IRISH POTATOE PARTY. °°
