Schubert ‘Winterreise’ Cycle Spreads Pall of Gloom |
By Henry Butler Julius-Huehn's recital in World War Memorial Jast night was a remarkable feat of memory as well ag musicianship. For Mr. Huehn, chairman of the Jordan College of Music voice department, had programmed the 24 songs of Schubert's “Winterreise.” . His choice of that somber cycle was well timed with last night's weather, as Mr. Huehn evidently suffers from the same
