Crust - follow directions on Flako package. For a hurry-up, use your favorite canned apples for the filling. If you wish to use fresh, peel and slice 6 to 8 tart apples into pie shell, Sprinkle 24 cup white or brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, V4 teaspoon salt, tablespoon lemon juice and distribute 1 teaspoon butter over apples. Cut several slits in top crust to Jet steam escape; and fit-over-pie. Crimp edge tightly. Bake in oven at 500° for 10 minutes, reduce to 350° for 30-50 minutes more. Serve hot or cold.
